Passion Show: Past, Present, and Future
Alignment with ASA Values, Mission & Vision
We value community over individualism, solidarity over competition, building bridges not walls, and empowering one another. Therefore, our main focus is not on who is simply the "most talented" or polished in their craft or skill. We are looking for promising applicants whose values align with ours. Do their passion and story inspire solidarity and building bridges? Do their passion and story empower everyone?
The Purpose of the Passion Show is to...
Amplify the unique and shared experiences of AAPI youth and young adults.
Bring visibility to social issues that impact our communities, society, and world today. All of our struggles are connected; therefore, our journey in collective liberation, joy, and empowerment are also intertwined.
Spotlight the passions of the youth and young adults in our communities.
Center joy through the creative process and practice authentic story-telling.
Be in community with one another and truly see each other.
Help bridge various AAPI communities and promote empathy through the sharing of stories.
